Albert King — Wednesday Night In San Francisco: Reviews

Live Wire/Blues Power Part Two

13.05.2021 by david (See all user reviews)

From the same sessions at the Fillmore that brought the great breakthrough album for Albert King, Live Wire/Blues Power, these tunes are not outtakes but just more that came from those two nights of shows. Personal Manager, Why Are You So Mean to Me and others join Born Under A Bad Sign for the Wednesday night tunes that were not on LW/BP. Terrific addition to the King legacy, and you should also pick up "Thursday Night in San Francisco" for the rest of two evenings delicacies. Terrific mid-career King performances with a crowd that appreciates his work. The Fillmore crowd loved this guy, and it shows in the way he plays to them.
