There are two versions of this album that was recorded "live" in the Bearsville Studio in Woodstock, NY. One has an audience overdub, and then there's this one without any over dubs that is far superior. Just the band working out in the studio without any overdubs or fake crowd noise. It's one of the best Isley albums (and there are many), and everyone shines in the moment. It's not a retrospective, but a great set with renditions of some of their best later T-Neck hits. In many ways it's one of the most authentic Isley albums out there with the band showing amazing chops. And the extended Summer Breeze is a revelation. Just browse the snippets and you'll be hooked.
